Where will you find marginal gains?

Today’s supply chains are under increasing pressure to deliver greater efficiencies as organisations continue to search for marginal gains. In our own operating environment, we know that these efficiencies can come from many different areas – which is why we have an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement across the business. It’s a commitment that requires us to continually redefine what it takes for our customers to stay ahead, that drives our investment decisions and that shapes our longer-term business vision.

Our purpose-built facilities are an important focus for this business vision and have been specified throughout to best meet the evolving needs of our customers. For example, some time ago we identified the contribution that supplying pre-machined materials could make to operational performance. We recognised how delivering net shapes, ready to use straight out of the box could save customers non-revenue generating machine time, eliminate the need for outsourced processing and support improved sustainability.

As a result we recently invested in bolstering our workshop capabilities with the addition of a CNC Proturn RLX 1630 lathe. The lathe saves our customers time, effort and unnecessary expense by executing rod and bar processing requirements before delivery. It’s powered by the latest technology and delivers market-leading speed, efficiency and precision for made-to-measure orders. Along with saws, guillotines, grinding machinery, coil handling equipment and metrology equipment, the lathe ensures our workshop is best equipped to satisfy any requirement for high precision, tailor-made orders.

Add to this a unique blend of specialist metallurgy knowledge and technical expertise and we can ensure that all materials are sourced, processed and tested to perform in the most effective way. Customers have responded positively to our enhanced workshop capabilities and those who have taken advantage of our pre-machined materials report a minimum of 10% improvement in their operational efficiency.

This is just one way we’re helping our customers optimise performance across operations. If you’re interested to find out more you can download a series of case study examples and supporting factsheets that provide additional information on some of the ways we’re making a difference. Alternatively, please get in touch directly to discuss any specific areas of interest.
