Making our investment count

Before I talk about our continuing investment in improving services for our customers, I want to start with an apology. It was quite tricky keeping so many balls in the air during the final few days of our office move and if we were a little slow off the mark at the end of last month, I’m genuinely sorry. You’ll be pleased to hear that everything in our new HQ is now working smoothly and this month we’ve been able to hit the ground running. So normal service has resumed!
In fact, service delivery should be even better as we’ve just strengthened our operations team. To coincide with the move to much larger workshop and warehousing facilities and as part of our commitment to business growth, I’m delighted to welcome Oli Simons to the fold. Oli will be working closely with James, initially providing additional support on the shopfloor to service orders and manage logistics.
Oli’s arrival is well timed as this autumn is shaping up to be very busy. One of November’s priorities is attending Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen, which runs from the 19th to the 21st of the month. With over 700 exhibitors and 150 high-level speakers it’s a great opportunity to get up to speed with technologies that are driving the industry, catch up with old colleagues and make new connections with professionals across the sector. Space is an increasingly important focus for us, especially in the area of satellite technology where materials such as Hiperco and Alloy 50 are key components. We’ll be around for most of the show and look forward to meeting up with our customers and supply chain partners.
There are plenty of other big developments in the pipeline too, for this autumn and beyond. For example, over the coming months we’ll be creating a new website that will help to consolidate all the changes that have happened this year and provide customers with a valuable resource they can use to better plan and enhance their operations. In addition, towards the end of this year and into 2025, we’ll be introducing a new, state-of-the art business management system that’s set to transform how we work. More news on this over the next few weeks, but suffice to say it’s going to support even greater efficiencies and a really slick customer experience.
That’s it for now, but as always please contact me directly if you want to discuss any of the issues I’ve talked about here or have any technical enquiries or order queries – we’re all available to help!
