Helping you get the most out of your materials.

What’s in a name? Nicofe, for example, was created around the periodic symbols of
some of the company’s most popular material components: Nickel, Cobalt and Iron. I wanted to expand a little more on that concept in this month’s blog, just to give you a quick recap of our core products, along with a reminder of our technical support and workshop capabilities.
Our future Technical Releases will take a deeper dive into product specifics and set
out more detailed practical information. But as a top-level summary, we deal in high
value, premium metals, alloys and components that are often difficult to source. From refractory metals and alloys, soft magnetic alloys, and controlled expansion alloys, to fine grain titanium strip, customers know they can trust the quality and traceability of our products, as well as our fast turn-around time and delivery.
All our materials originate from leading international sources, are always produced to
the same consistently high standard, and are available in various forms such as bar,
rod, sheet, plate, strip, and wire in many different gauges, widths, lengths and
conditions.
Our alloys include Kovar, Invar36, Alloy 42, Hiperco 50, Molybdenum and Tungsten
to name a few, while our fine grain Titanium strip can be drawn over distances up to
twenty times the thickness of the material. Nicofe products are often used in
applications in the aerospace, defence, healthcare, electronics and automotive
sectors – think satellites, drones, jet engines, radioactive shielding and F1 cars for
example. You can explore our full range in the Products section of the site.
We know our products inside-out too – how they’re made, how they’ll behave in
different circumstances, and how they should perform. This specialist knowledge
helps customers optimise the capabilities of their own products because they have
complete understanding of the performance of the metallic content.
We also understand that customers want to receive materials that are ready to use
straight out of the box, which is why we offer a comprehensive workshop service to
ensure that everything we ship is expertly prepared to individual requirements. The
workshop is kitted out with a range of equipment to cater for almost any request,
including saws to cut bars, plate and billets from 2mm to 270mm, a guillotine for
sheet and coil materials, and grinding machinery. We also offer waterjet and laser
cutting services, heat treatment, and microscopy or SEM studies.
If you’d like any more information on the specifics of our materials or our workshop
capabilities, please get in touch and we’ll be pleased to help you get the most out of
your materials. In next month’s blog we’ll be taking a closer look at some of our
products and services in action and how we’re helping our customers meet their
business goals – we’ll let you know when its posted.
